On the afternoon of the 1t September we made our way down Southampton Water to the Royal Southern YC Yacht Haven on the Hamble River. On the following day we were to host a few guests as part of the Royal Southern’s Sailability Day.
Our guests were all profoundly deaf which presented some interesting communication challenges! We led the fleet to the reach at the bottom of the Beaulieu River where we anchored. Four other boats rafted onto us, which made it a very social gathering. The Clu had provided the lunches, and some of us added a little wine.
We were back in the Hambke by 1600. That evenng the Cllub had laid on a supper which was excellent fun.
The following morning we returned to our MYC mooring, unlading the following morning.
