We already owned a Walker Bay dinghy, and there was no dinghy with Teal. The usual solution for a motor boat is to use snap davits on the swimming platform linked to eyes glued onto the sides of the dinghy. The problem with the Walker Bay is that, unlike most inflatable, the gunwhale is curved, so a special solution was needed. Aftoer hunting around, I discovered that Weaver, who make the snap davits, had designed a special rig for the Walker Bay dinghy. It was very expensive, and I think we may have been the frst people to import it into the UK. However, it does the job!
It means that we have an excellent tender for Teal, and when rigged for sail, a lovely little dinghy for exploring places like Newtown, Keyhaven and Chi
